Human Anatomy for the Artist

So as artist we were all taught that we must understand the human anatomy so that we and draw the human form realistically. I'm sure many of you have a book or two about the study of human anatomy for the artist. Here is what my copy is and a link if you want to own your own. Or you can go to Google Books and look for a free online copy of a Human Anatomy for the Artist. Google Books has thousands of full length free books online. Just type in a subject search in Google, then click on Books on the top of the screen of search results. Once in the Book results you can choose more search tools and click of free ebooks. This will list all the complete free books Google has rights to and has posted for the world. However, I also suggest that you check out the preview available selection as well. Many of these previews have 70%-90% of the book available to view instantly online for free. Want the printed edition? Of course there is a link to buy on from Google but there is also a small link on the left toolbar that says find in library. This link will list every local library that currently has the book on the shelves right now, including public libraries and universities. The fact of the matter is that kids today want things that are digital, interactive, bright, beautiful and fun. For free human anatomy check out zygotebody.com. This website offers a basic free version of a 3D model of both the male and female form. Although you can not move or bend the figures you can peel back the layers from skin to spinal column. The model also spins around so you and view all sides of the human body.
